We moved on from Bullock’s Lane Bridge, leaving at around 10. Back up Falling Sands Lock, with a quick stop to recover a log floating past (waste not, want not) and then Caldwell Lock.
Caldwell Lock, wedged under the sandstone ridge.
The outskirts of Kidderminster come soon after the lock, and George and Carol pulled over to visit the handy canalside Tesco’s. You have to watch out for submerged shopping trollies when coming in to moor here.
Having passed Rock’n'Roll we had the advantage of empty locks, so I didn’t have to leave Mags long on the uninviting lock landing under the road below Kidderminster Lock.
Unfortunately, a blight on urban canals. Whoever introduced those ubiquitous plastic bottles and fast-food containers should be taken out and shot…..
We made our own shop-stop at Sainsburys on the north edge of the town, then a mile or so to Wolverley Court Lock, pulling over just above.
R’n’R arrived about 30 minutes later.
We intend to stay here now, at least for tomorrow.
Locks 4, miles 4

How can you complain about the rubbish in the cut when you have all that untidy stuff all over the top of your boat?
Hey
If you're going to make rude comments, at least have the courtesy to identify yourself!
Just below Wolverly Court lock is one of our favourite overnight stops. It's really quiet as the nearest road is some way away.

Hi Steve,
I agree, we usually stop just above. Some good walks for the dogs across the canal, too.

Just catching up with the blogs posted while we've been away...
Makes a change to see the view of Kidderminster Lock looking in that direction. You only normally see photos of it looking tranquil, overlooked by the church. I'm sure many people don't realise there's a thundering great road just behind, with the lock landing underneath!
