I’m really proud of the way that she’s overcome last autumn’s set-back. Sheer determination. She’s still not 100%, but is getting better and better as time goes by.
After stopping overnight near Pillings Lock we only made a short cruise today, just upstream to Barrow Cut.
We had a bit of wait at the lock as a day boat from Barrow Boating full of novices negotiated Barrow Deep Lock, then another couple from Pillings, slightly more competent, went up ahead of us.
Oh, and I’m pleased to report that the new SLX Megaboost aerial recommended by Doug and James picks up a signal here in the cutting, where the older one failed. I had to use the tall mast, but we’ve a full set of freeview channels. Thanks, guys.
I reckon we’ll be staying here tomorrow, then moving a bit further up stream on Monday.
Locks 1, miles 1
Congratulations and Happy birthday Mags.... Glad the aerial works for you, its never let us down yet, see you soon. Doug and James
